Healthy Habit Cookies

Delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with a healthy twist

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup butter
  • 3/4 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 T water
  • 2 T flaxseed meal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1 t salt
  • 3 Cups oats
  • 1 bag chocolate chips
  • 1 t cinnamon

Instructions

Preheat oven

Preheat oven to 350.

Prepare flaxseed

Mix the flaxseed meal and water and let set for 3-5 min.

Cream butter and sugars

Beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar well.

Add eggs

Add eggs and mix well.

Add flaxseed and vanilla

Add flaxseed mix and vanilla, and beat well.

Sift dry ingredients

Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.

Combine

Add dry ingredients to butter mix.

Add oats and chips

Stir in oats and chips.

Scoop onto baking sheet

Scoop onto a greased baking sheet.

Bake

Bake for 12 minutes.

Cool

Let set for a couple of minutes then remove from tray.
